It is a simple dicey kind of bar but lots of fun. Prices are good and drinks were made right. Good stop in!
Truly a local hole in the wall Red Neck watering hole. Not a dive, but pretty close. Locals. This place has been here for a while. Did I mention locals. Oregon lottery, pool table, booths and tables and bar seating. Smeals nice, event with the deep fryer. Nothing special. And lots of locals. Limited on beer selection. Full bar. Bar eats (Not bad). Sometimes music, sometimes specials. BIKER FRIENDLY very.
We stopped here for breakfast on our way up the mountain. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. The bloody Mary's were also amazing and the service was excellent. I highly recommend stopping by for food and drinks!
Well I am definitely not the barfly that I used to be, but I had a blast hanging out here on a Saturday night. We came for the band and the company, but the food, facility, and service was way better than expected.
Bars are not our typical thing, but I like classic rock, and my husband knew the band was good and they were playing nearby so we had our date night here. I was honestly expecting this place to be pretty boring, despite the name, but I was pleasantly wrong.
We arrived sometime between 9 & 930 and it was pretty crowded, with about 75% of the tables filled already. The parking area (from what I could tell in the dark) was fairly full, the band was playing loud, the crowd was lively, and the servers were busy.
We sat down and it was only a few minutes before a waitress came over to take our drink orders and offer us menus. We weren't very hungry but decided to snack on some chicken strips and fresh cut Cajun fries, both of which were delicious. The chicken strips were lightly breaded and crispy on the outside but very moist, flavorful, and tender, but not greasy on the inside. The fries tasted very fresh, and were not very spicy-hot, but nicely cajun flavored.
The band, servers, and bartenders were all very nice and interactive with the customers. We were checked on frequently. The other people there were having a great time and dancing and having fun. We made some new friends and made plans to hang out again.
Sure it's a little tired, worn, and divey, but it's a clean place with good service and the food was great for the price!
We came here yesterday after an excursion out to Estacada. We went in around 3pm. It was pretty dead. We went up to the bar and the friendly bartender greeted us and offered us a beverage. I used the clean restroom then ordered a Rainer on tap. The bartender offered us food menus which we took and then she said would come over to take our order. The menu is your standard bar fare. They have breakfast, sandwiches, steak, fish and chips and fish tacos. My only issue is that they have a sign out front saying they have fresh soup made daily and they didn't have any soup that day. The bartender took our order and I ordered the fish and chips with halibut. My fiancé ordered the steak with a loaded baked potato and vegetables. The food came out fairly quickly and was tasty. My only complaint about my meal was that the coleslaw was purely Mayo, I couldn't eat any of it. My fish though was very good and the fries were tasty as well. My fiancé enjoyed his steak and very much enjoyed his loaded baked potato as there was real bacon on it instead of bacon bits. If we are ever in boring Oregon again I would definitely pop back in for a drink or some food.
